The theory test is split into two parts and both must be passed at the same time, only pass one and you will fail which will result in you taking both parts of the test again.
You will have 57 minutes to answer 50 questions with multiple choice answers of which you will need to answer 43 correctly to pass. The questions are based on the highway code and you will be able to review your answers if you so wish. Some questions will be given as a case study, the case study will show a scenario of 5 pictures which the questions will be based on with multiple choice answers.
You will be shown 14 video clips of developing hazards, In one of the clips there will be two hazards to predict. The total number of marks available is 75 of which you will need to score 44 to pass. You will not be able to review your answers on the hazard clips because just as on the road you will only get one chance to get it right.
Help is at hand to get you through and pass both parts of your theory test. People with special needs or disabilities can be accommodated for the theory test, just tell the receptionists at the driving centre at the time of booking.
